How EFT works "And what is a man without energy? Nothing - nothing at all." - Mark Twain Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) is a unique form of “psychological acupuncture” that uses the ancient Chinese meridian system to relieve psychological stress and physiological pain. EFT balances the energy system with a tapping procedure which stimulates designated meridian endpoints on the face and body. Restoring the balance of the energy system neutralizes emotional conflicts at their source, which then allows the body and mind to resume their natural healing abilities. There, that's it for those that want it - a detailed explanation of what is really a simple process. Actually, I don't worry too much about how it works, I'm just happy that it does (in much the same way I'm happy that the computer works when I switch it on - as long as it works I'm happy). If you want to watch a short video on EFT, click on the link below. CLICK HERE TO VIEW A VIDEO ON EFT A typical EFT session involves tapping with the fingertips on certain key points on the face and upper body whilst tuning into issues. Typically each issue is rated on a ‘distress’ scale of 0 to 10 and each round of tapping brings about a reduction in the score until the issue is resolved (that is it has a distress level of 0 or 1) This procedure works equally well on sceptics and cynics as well as those with a more open mind. It even works over the telephone... Yes - it is very effective even when the consultation takes place over the telephone! Below is a chart of the tapping points I use for telephone consultations. |
